Among My Souvenirs...Bernina Fashion Show...2003

The beautiful needlepoint strips are from Turkmenistan, complemented with  Seminole patchwork strips embellished with gold thread,a type of embellishment I developed a few years ago which has become a sort of trademark for my work. The lining has 25 molas collected in Panama and beaded..

In Rajasthan I found the beautiful vintage dress front embellished with shishas which I used for the jacket back.  To enhance the piece I added Seminole strips, plain strips embellished with Radiance cord, other cords which I found in India, and more needlepoint bands from Turkmenistan embellished with beaded tassels.
