The beautiful needlepoint strips are from Turkmenistan, complemented with Seminole patchwork strips embellished with gold thread,a type of embellishment I developed a few years ago which has become a sort of trademark for my work. The lining has 25 molas collected in Panama and beaded..

| In Rajasthan I found the beautiful vintage dress front embellished with shishas which I used for the jacket back. To enhance the piece I added Seminole strips, plain strips embellished with Radiance cord, other cords which I found in India, and more needlepoint bands from Turkmenistan embellished with beaded tassels.

This is the jacket from the 2003 Bernina Fashion Show outfit. The sleeves (not totally finished) are embellished seminole strips banded by strips of beading. The front is centered with antique needlepoint bands and tassels from Turkmenistan. | |
