Jackets and vests from a class in Farmington in 2001. Everyone loved the Seminole Patchwork technique and added it to their piece.
Some of the group came to my house a few weeks later for a fun "show and tell".
Embellishment Class - Santa Fe- 2002
During a three day class at the Fiesta in Santa Fe Wearable Art Conference students made embellished Seminole Patchwork, and practiced adding beading by machine.
The focus of the class was looking at interesting ways of jazzing up your quilts or wearables. One sample focused on making a type of magical "confetti fabric" beginning with 2" squares.
Jane Rosen from Garden City, New York won Viewer's Choice at the Stitch in Time Luncheon at the International Quilt Show in Houston in November, 2005. Jane designed the vest in my three day design class that summer at Quilting By The Lake in Morrisville, New York. She began work on the vest in an earlier class that week with Rosalie Dace.
