Long Sleeve Jacket

An easy three piece jacket (back and two fronts) with a band in front. The Pattern is Happy Jacket Times 2 by Rag Merchant.  You can  buy the pattern at Patricia's or online if you like this one.

The original pattern is reversible, as are some of the samples I have made.  You can make it eather as a single lined jacket or reversible.  If you are making a reversible jacket you need double the outside fabric requirements as well as a variety of quilting threads as the jacket is quilted before its assembled.  It sounds more complicated than it is.

The Butterfly Jacket

This is a short sleeved jacket which is very, very easy to make.  It can be made from one fabric but it is much more interesting if you use 5 or 6 coordinating fabrics. As usual, more is always better.

I have free patterns for this jacket and have it made up in muslins in various sizes for tryon.
