Jacket/Vest Class Supply List

Quilted Vest

This is the easiest piece of all to make.  It takes around 1 1/2 yards of fabric and the same amount of lining.  6 to 8 different fabrics makes a nice mix.

Fabric:

1 1/2 yards outer fabric.  Can be a mixture of cottons and silks.

1 1/2 yards lining fabric.

3/4yard medium weight iron on interfacing.

If the vest is pieced it also requires 1 1/2 yards cotton flannel or muslin for a base.

Quilted Jacket

This jacket is easy to make because it has dropped sleeves.

Fabric:

2 1/2 to 3 yards cotton flannel or muslin foundation

2 1/2 to 3 yards cottons, silks, velvets, for the outside.  Try to bring at least 8 different fabrics.  More is better.

2 1/2 to 3 yards lining

Shoulder pads

3/4 yd iron on medium weight interfacing

Any embellishments you might wish to add.  The jacket pictured has scrunched fabric and seminole patchwork.  Please email me in advance if you wish to use either of these techniques.  It also has buttons and beads.
